This collections includes both shotgun shells and rifle cartridges. The rifle cartridges comprise a number of tiny .22-calibre shells for smaller game, and two larger shells for hunting deer and other larger game. Clay pigeon fragments were also recovered from the beach. Most of this ammunition dates to the mid 20th Century recreational period.
