1935: Poplar Music

The wind sings through quivering leaves of vast young poplar stands that green the valley. Trembling and large-tooth aspen and balsam poplar are part of nature's way to restore a post-logging landscape to health. When their century-long lifespans end, it may be time once again for the great pines to return.
